A report that investigates obstacles that could hinder access mental and emotional wellbeing services across West Yorkshire has been published.

Research commissioned by West Yorkshire Health and Care Partnership (WY HCP) and completed by the University of Leeds evaluated the facilitators and barriers to accessing mental health services.

In a collaboration between Jo Farn, Associate Director and System and Leadership Development and Rebecca Illingworth, System Development Lead, found that there are steps organisations can take to improve staff and volunteer awareness of services which could lead to increases in uptake.

The report aims to provide a full picture of how it can be used to improve and review recommendations for the future about what would make a real positive difference for colleagues.
