The West Yorkshire Staff Mental Health and Wellbeing Hub offers individual therapy to staff within the region who work in health and social care. The Hub is a completely confidential service, wherever you work or volunteer and is separate from your employer.
We pride ourselves in giving the best support and care to those who access the service. Following recent concerns in the media about confidentiality and Employee Assistance Programme (EAP) services, it is important to note that the Hub is not an EAP service and all of the therapists who work with and for us are accredited with an appropriate professional body.
The Hub will never invite anyone into the conversation without the knowledge and consent of the client. We would only share information about the sessions in the case of a risk of serious harm to the client or someone else. We are also partnered with a number of trusted organisations who provide a range of therapies, and they work within our remit and guidelines of confidentiality.
Communication is key for us and those that access the service are reassured of our confidentiality processes and policies. From our most recent annual report, 98.5% of those that access the service would recommend the therapy service within the Hub.
