University of Huddersfield: Students Raising concerns in practice - While you are on placement you may have questions or concerns with aspects of the clinical care that you see. If the concern relates to your supervision and assessment in placement you should discuss this with your practice supervisor/assessor in the first instance. If that does not resolve the issue then contact the Practice educator and Link tutor for the area. If the concern relates to quality of patient care in placement you should discuss this with your practice supervisor/assessor or placement manager in the first instance. If you still have concerns then please contact the Link tutor.

Professional Values and Behaviours - Uniforms

Students are required to wear the approved university uniform unless a specific placement area provides alternative instructions. In some placement areas, uniforms may not be necessary; however, students must still present a professional image and dress appropriately.

Students must also adhere to the uniform and dress policy of the organisation where they are on placement.

It is the responsibility of students to clean and maintain their uniforms. Uniforms should be washed at the hottest temperature suitable for the fabric. Always use the pen pocket for pens and remove them before washing tunics. For infection control reasons, uniforms must not be worn outside the placement setting, as this can increase the risk of spreading infections.
